A criadora de ‘Gilmore Girls’ fez história na premiação com seu novo projeto, a série ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’.

O Emmy 2018, realizado nestaa segunda-feira (17) foi palco de algo histórico.

Pela primeira vez, em 70 anos de premiação, uma mulher ganhou de uma só vez troféus nas categorias de melhor roteiro e melhor direção de série de comédia. Quem recebeu as estatuetas foi Amy Sherman-Palladino, mais conhecida por ser a criadora de Gilmore Gilrs, que foi ao ar entre 2000 e 2007.

O passado com Gilmore Girls não resultou em prêmios para Amy no chamado Oscar da TV americana. Aliás, nem sequer uma indicação. No entanto, seu novo projeto, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, proporcionou não só o inédito par de troféus como também consagrou-se como a melhor série de comédia do ano. Ao todo, a série produzida pela Amazon recebeu 5 troféus.

“Tivemos muita sorte porque sinto que se você se propuser a transmitir uma mensagem política através do seu programa, simplesmente não funcionará. Você só tem que amar seu projeto e amar seus personagens e amar sua história. Foi apenas um acaso interessante que, na época em que ‘Maisel’ saiu, estávamos derrubando alguns trolls “, disse Amy à Variety.

“Estou feliz que seja um personagem que ainda ressoa. Mesmo que não seja 1959… muitos desses problemas ainda existem e isso só nos torna mais relevantes e isso é simplesmente delicioso – você não pode planejar isso, isso é apenas o destino”, completou.

Ambientada na década de 50, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel conta a história Midge Maisel, interpretada por Rachel Brosnahan, uma jovem que troca a rotina de dona de casa pela arriscada carreira na comédia stand-up. A primeira temporada da série tem 8 episódios e estreou Amazon em novembro passado.
